The former 2nd overall selection in the 2016 OHL Draft, Owen Lalonde has requested a trade from the Sudbury Wolves. Lalonde, a native of Windsor, scored 2 goals and added 10 assists for 12 points in 64 games for the Wolves last year.



The London Knights have acquired Chad Heffernan from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a mid round draft pick.  (more…)

The Sudbury Wolves have announced that they’ve traded goaltender Matthew Menna to the Flint Firebirds. Menna was Sudbury’s 3rd goaltender and was recently told that he would not be part of the Wolves future.  (more…)

As the dawn has broken on another blistery day in Sudbury, it marks a new beginning. It’s not necessarily a clean slate, but it is a new beginning.  The Sudbury Wolves season thus far has been filled with the lowest of lows, and yet there have been moments that carry us through, moments that show us that there just may be that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. The Niagara IceDogs and the Sudbury Wolves have come together on a three player trade involving two import players including one Minnesota Wild prospect who finds himself landing on a promising Niagara IceDogs squad.


The Flint Firebirds have traded goaltender Zack Bowman to the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a 4th Round Pick in 2017.


August 6: London trades Zack Grzelewski to the Flint Firebirds in exchange for a 3rd Round Pick (London, 2016).

August 6: Erie trades Patrick Murphy to the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a 15th Round Pick (Cond., 2018).

August 7: Windsor trades Graeme Brown to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a 4th Round Pick (2017).

August 11: Kingston trades Jacob Graves to the Oshawa Generals in exchange for a 15th Round Pick (Cond., 2017).

With the loss of Nathan Pancel, the Sudbury Wolves went out and acquired Charley GraSudburyaskamp from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. With the Greyhounds recent additions, Graaskamp had become an expendable asset who obviously held some value. Graaskamp is a native of Eau Claire, WI and had been playing center for the Greyhounds. In parts of two seasons with the Greyhounds, Graaskamp notched 18 points in 41 games with a third of his points coming this season.  (more…)
