With the loss of Nathan Pancel, the Sudbury Wolves went out and acquired Charley GraSudburyaskamp from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. With the Greyhounds recent additions, Graaskamp had become an expendable asset who obviously held some value. Graaskamp is a native of Eau Claire, WI and had been playing center for the Greyhounds. In parts of two seasons with the Greyhounds, Graaskamp notched 18 points in 41 games with a third of his points coming this season.  (more…)

Ritchie is a recent World Junior gold medalist and a Anaheim Ducks first round draft choice. It had become apparent his time in Peterborough was running out back in October when Ritchie was first made available. SaultSteMarieKitchener Rangers RW Justin Bailey was given until the end of Tuesday to make his decision on whether or not he wanted to ride it out in Kitchener or go to Sault Ste. Marie. At around 2:30 in the afternoon he made his decision and informed Rangers GM Murray Hiebert that he’d wish to finish up his OHL career somewhere else.  (more…)

The Sault Ste. MariSaultSteMariee Greyhounds have announced they’ve managed to trade disgruntled forward Trent Mallette to the Ottawa 67’s in exchange for a conditional 12th round pick in 2016.

Trent went home to Levack, Ontario while he awaited a trade.

The 96′ born RW has put up 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists), while adding 71 penalty minutes and being +11 in parts of three seasons up in the Sault having played 113 games.
