If the Niagara IceDogs have an abundance of anything other than shear talent, it’s defenders. With 9 defenders currently rostered Marty Williamson is not closed minded to clearing out some of the younger guys who will not help with the IceDogs’ run at a championship this year.  (more…)

The Oshawa Generals enjoyed their run to becomming Memorial Cup Champions last season after bringing many important pieces into the fold. Roger Hunt and crew sacrificed a total of 11 draft picks to bring in goaltender Jason DaSilva from the Peterborough Petes, veteran defender Dakota Mermis and Michael McCarron from the London Knights, and followed that up with the acquisition of Matt Mistele from the Plymouth Whalers. This time around, the Generals will be doing the opposite as Roger Hunt and staff feel it’s time to recoup some of the draft picks lost last year. (more…)

Marty Williamson and his Niagara IceDogs have an interesting predicament on their hands. Currently sitting 3rd in the OHL’s Central Division, behind the Barrie Colts and the Mississauga Steelheads. The IceDogs need to decide whether or not they will be buyers or sellers come the January trade deadline. The IceDog’s papered roster looks deceivingly good, as the IceDogs on ice performance does not reflect what you would expect to see out of a roster that includes the likes of Brendan Perlini, Josh Ho-Sang, Anthony DiFruscia and more.  (more…)
