The Barrie Colts and the Saginaw Spirit announced that they’ve come together on a trade that sees D Greg DiTomaso & LW Dylan Sadowy head to the Barrie Colts in exchange for D Rocky  Kaura & 11 draft choices. This is getting out of hand.

The Peterborough Petes have acquired defender Brandon Prophet and prospect Tyler Rolo from the Barrie Colts in exchange for disgruntled defender Cam Lizotte and a draft pick. (more…)

The Windsor Spitfires have acquired Winnipeg Jets prospect Brendan Lemieux from the Barrie Colts. In exchange, the Colts receive centerman Anthony Stefano along with two draft picks that can be used to acquire more pieces come OHL trade deadline or to take to the bank at future OHL Priority Selections. Barrie Colts LW Brendan Lemieux has been handed a 10 game suspension for a questionable hit to Owen Sound Attack defender Keenan Reynolds in a game on October 15th in Barrie.


The Niagara IceDogs have picked up forward, Nick Pastorious off of waivers from the Barrie Colts.

Pastorious, a 96′ born power forward, has spent parts of 2 seasons in Barrie and parts of 2 seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Having notched 12 points in his last games, as well as the Colts looking to bring some younger talent into the mix, the Colts could not promise the 200lb winger the ice time he is out to show the IceDogs he deserves.

The Barrie Colts acquired Stephen Nosad from the Barrie Colts. Nosad has been theBarrie subject of some disciplinary action recently as he and a teammate were intoxicated at a game they were both scratched for. The Petes problems lied within their leadership group and this move will certainly help them point the ship in the right direction. (more…)

As I said earlier on in the year, the Guelph Storm are a one stop shop for a team Barrielooking to make a cup run, because well, they’re the defending champs. The Barrie Colts have acquired Brockville, Ontario native defenceman Brandon Prophet from the Saginaw Spirit. The ’96 born Prophet stands 6’3, and weighs in at 202lbs. The  defenceman has appeared in 131 career OHL games putting up 35 points which was made up of 6 goals and 29 assists. Prophet attended the Buffalo Sabres training camp prior to his 2014-2015 campaign.
