The Barrie Colts have acquired 19 year old winger Keigan Goetz from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for 2 draft picks.

To Barrie:
– Keigan Goetz

To Sault Ste. Marie:
– 2nd Round Pick (Windsor, 2021)
– 6th Round Pick (2016)

Goetz, who is a native of New Hamburg, Ontario was playing out his 3rd OHL season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds after signing as a free agent with the club in the middle of the 2013-2014 hockey season.

Goetz, 6’01 & 195lbs, was serving as an assistant captain for the Greyhounds before the move to Barrie. He joins the Colts with 5 goals and 1 assist for 6 points in 22 games played this year. Over his 3 seasons in the OHL, which featured two playoff runs, Goetz has appeared in 123 games and managed to total 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points.

Goetz has one more year of OHL eligibility following the conclusion of the 2015-2016 OHL season and is a prospect eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
