The London Knights have acquired Chad Heffernan from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a mid round draft pick.

To London:
– Chad Heffernan

To Sudbury
– 4th Round Pick (2016)

Heffernan, 19, was a 4th round selection by the Belleville Bulls in the 2012 OHL priority selection. The LW/C enjoyed parts of 3 seasons in Belleville before being traded to Sudbury towards the beginning of the 2014-2015 OHL season.

In 195 career OHL games, the 6’02, 195lb native of Peterborough, Ontario has registered 26 goals with 25 assists for 51 points. I wouldn’t say scoring/offensive prowess has been Heffernan’s strong point at least not to date as he also registered 371 penalty minutes in that same 195 game span. That’s not to say he can’t go to London and be a total different player.

Heffernan has one year of OHL eligibility remaining following this season and is currently a prospect eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
