After acquiring the likes of Stephen Desrochers, Liam Murray and Warren Foegele earlier on in the year, Doug Gilmour and the Kingston Frontenacs are putting everything they have to put together a championship winning run this season.

It was mentioned in an OHLInsiders article and on Twitter that the Kingston Frontenacs were heavily pursuing the former 5th Overall Selection of the New York Islanders, Michael Dal Colle and that remains the case. Rest assured, the Frontenacs are going “All in” for the services of the left winger who was recently cut from the Team Canada world junior squad.

While Dal Colle’s price tag has currently been described as nothing more than “a lot” a Kingston Frontenacs source recently mentioned a 5-6 player deal that was in the works. That was not the Liam Murray deal, so could it be a Dal Colle deal that he was describing? Well that remains to be seen.

If the Frontenacs decide against pursuing Dal Colle for whichever reason, or they are outbid by another contending team, Gilmour will turn to the Saginaw Spirit and their high scoring left winger, Dylan Sadowy. I’m told the Frontenacs have already inquired about the San Jose Sharks unsigned prospect and he would likely come at a much cheaper price. A source close to the situation says he “cannot disclose anything,” of course referring to ongoing internal discussions.

By Comparison

Michael Dal Colle, LW
Woodbridge, ON
New York Islanders
1st Round, 5th Overall 2014
2015-16: 27 Games played. 23 points (7G, 16A), -10
Career: 255 Games Played. 315 points (121G, 194A) +49

Dylan Sadowy, LW
Woodbridge, ON
San Jose Sharks
3rd Round, 81st Overall 2014
2015-16: 28 Games played. 27 points (17G, 10A), +6
Career: 234 Games played. 150 points (92G, 58A), +4

It is worth noting that option A) Michael Dal Colle provides 42 games of playoff experience, not including Memorial Cup games which is 30 games more than what Dylan Sadowy provides.

So I’ll let you choose!
