The Sudbury Wolves have announced the acquisition of young forward, Ryan Valentini from the London Knights. In exchange, the Knights receive a 2nd round draft choice in 2019. To Sudbury:
– Ryan Valentini

To London:
– 2nd Round Pick (2019)

Valentini, a native of Mississauga, ON was signed as a free agent by the London Knights after being passed over in the OHL draft twice. The 6’0, 175lb centerman has notched 3 assists in 9 games played for the Knights this year but the majority of his time has been spent in the GOJHL with Darren Kelly’s St. Thomas Stars where he has boasted 26 points consisting of 13 goals and 13 assists in 14 games played.

Valentini was too good to spend the year in the GOJHL but there was no room for him in the Knights top 9. The Knights set their asking price at a 2nd round pick earlier on in the year and waited for someone to meet their asking price. Along comes the ever-rebuilding Sudbury Wolves and the rest is Rock and roll history.
