The Sarnia Sting and coach Darian Hatcher has confirmed the re addition of Davis Brown. While it is still unknown as to why Brown has made such an abrupt return to the OHL after playing two games in a Swedish professional league, speculation is that his team, Sollentuna HC, went bankrupt.

In his time playing in Sweden, he dressed in two games and did not score a point in either game, but not surprisingly added 8 penalty minutes.

While it was speculated that the Sting did not want the overage left winger back, Brown has agreed to partake in a conditioning program to get the feisty native of London, ON back into game shape.

Over parts of 4 OHL seasons, all with the Sarnia Sting, the 5’9 194lb forward scored 67 points in 191 games played and totalled 105 penalty minutes in that time. Davis’ most impressive season came during the 2014-2015 campaign where he notched 34 points in 57 games played.

Brown’s addition leaves the Sting with one open overage spot.
