Barrie Colts LW Brendan Lemieux has been handed a 10 game suspension for a questionable hit to Owen Sound Attack defender Keenan Reynolds in a game on October 15th in Barrie.

Lemieux, a prospect of the Winnipeg Jets and son of former NHL player Claude Lemieux will be eligible to return on November 15th when the Colts are in North Bay to play the Battalion.

Lemieux declined to comment on what he thought of the suspension for obvious reasons but he did go on to tell me “It is what it is I just play can’t control what I can’t control.”

Since returning to the OHL from the Winnipeg Jets training camp, Lemieux has yet to score a point in his 3 games played before he was suspended indefinitely (until OHL could decide on length) following the play that led to the suspension.
