Giugovaz to Windsor

A week or so after @OHLInsiders reported that the London Knights were getting offers from both the Windsor Spitfires and Mississauga Steelheads for overage goaltender Michael Giugovaz, the Knights finalized a trade to send Giugovaz to the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a conditional 7th round draft choice in 2017.

Moving Giugovaz not only opens up an overage spot to bring in a cornerstone piece via trade later on but also opens up the net for exciting NHL Draft prospect, Tyler Parsons.

Windsor will be Giugovaz’s 4th team after stints in London, Belleville and Peterborough. Giugovaz will look to provide some stability and experience to Windsor’s unproven and young goaltenders.
