The last big move before the OHL’s trade deadline was a big one. The dead didn’tOshawa trickle in until well after the 12:00pm deadline but nonetheless resulted in Oshawa & Windsor making a trade and then Windsor and the Plymouth and Oshawa making a trade. 

Heading to Oshawa from Windsor for a short period of time before being traded to Plymouth was Ryan Moore, a former 2nd round selection of the Spitfires. Moore, C, has scored 18 points in 31 games played so far with the Spitfires. Heading to Windsor in this trade was prospect Chase Pearson. Pearson’s been playing with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL this year.

To Oshawa:

– Ryan Moore

To Windsor:

– Chase Pearson
– 2nd Round Pick (2021)
– 3rd Round Pick (2018)

The second part of this trade, which saw Oshawa immediately trade Ryan Moore to Plymouth in exchange for Matt Mistele happened officially shortly thereafter. Mistele was one of the top players being coveted by teams including: Barrie, Sault Ste. Marie and Oshawa. Mistele is a Colorado Avalanche prospect after being selected in the 6th round in last year’s draft. Mistele’s scored 42 points in 35 games played this year with the Plymouth Whalers.
