SaultSteMarieKitchener Rangers RW Justin Bailey was given until the end of Tuesday to make his decision on whether or not he wanted to ride it out in Kitchener or go to Sault Ste. Marie. At around 2:30 in the afternoon he made his decision and informed Rangers GM Murray Hiebert that he’d wish to finish up his OHL career somewhere else.

To Sault Ste. Marie:

– Justin Bailey

To Kitchener:

– David Miller
– 3rd Round Pick (2015 – Plymouth)
– 2nd Round Pick (2016)
– 2nd Round Pick (2018)
– 3rd Round Pick (2018 – Conditional)

Bailey, a native of Williamsville, NY, was selected in the 7th round of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, in the 128 spot by the Kitchener Rangers. Over parts of 3 OHL seasons, Justin has managed to put up 123 points consisting of 65 goals and 58 assists in 156 games, and has since been drafted in the 2nd round by the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres in 2012. This will more than likely be Justin’s last year in the OHL as he is eligible for the AHL next season if he doesn’t crack Buffalo’s roster.

Going to Kitchener is 1996 born C David Miller who is a native of nearby Burlington, ON. Since being selected by the Greyhounds in the 6th round in the 107 spot back in 2012. He is eligible as a re-entry for the 2015 NHL Draft.
