WindsorIf you’ve been following along on Twitter or through my posts, you’d know by now that Josh Ho-Sang’s name has come up on the OHL trade wire and has been now for a couple of weeks. I want to be clear when I say that nothing is imminent but the Windsor Spitfires are just gauging interest in the New York Islander’s first round selection. Rychel and crew are not new to this as they did the exact same thing with Kerby Rychel last year, who was eventually dealt to Guelph in a blockbuster deal just before the deadline.

I’ve now been told that Ho-Sang has submitted a list of 10 teams that he would be willing to play for, a list which is said to include the Mississauga Steelheads. Agree or disagree with the logic, but all signs point to the Steelheads wanting to load up for a run this year and Ho-Sang would certainly help them achieve their goals.Mississauga

As to why Ho-Sang would be a good fit in Mississauga as opposed to the obvious Erie or Sault Ste. Marie, he does not have anyone to answer to playing in Mississauga, he can play his game, which is widely considered a more selfish type of style. In Erie, you can’t play this type of game with guys like McDavid also there. Mississauga also has a cupboard full of young prospects, especially on the blueline that would help Windsor in their rebuild.

Fellow New York Islanders prospect Michael Dal Colle’s Oshawa Generals have also emerged as a team that Ho-Sang is willing to play for.
